What does code P2463 mean?

P2463 indicates excessive soot accumulation in the DPF. Unlike P2458, this means the filter is already restricted enough for the ECU to flag a serious condition. It may be caused by failed regenerations, urban duty cycles, EGR or injector faults, boost leaks or poor combustion.
