What does code P0430 mean?

Code P0430 is the bank 2 equivalent of P0420. It means the catalytic converter on that side of the engine is not working correctly. If P0420 and P0430 appear together, the likely cause is a broader mixture problem or long-term misfires that have damaged both converters.
