5. Do not just clear the code if limp mode returns under load.

What does code P0234 mean?

P0234 indicates a turbo overboost condition. It is common on diesel engines with variable-geometry turbos when the actuator, control solenoid or vanes stick. It may also appear because of incorrect MAP/boost sensor readings or faulty vacuum control hoses. Ignoring it can damage the turbo, engine or intake system.
